A business meet is scheduled to be held on 21st Feb, 2009, which would discuss the policy initiatives by government in the farm sector and facilitate business discussions and cooperation in several areas of interest to food and agriculture. The meet would focus on promoting private investment in contract farming, food processing, storage, marketing, agricultural services and agri infrastructure. It is expected that the Government will provide guidelines in respect of high business potential sectors such as fruits, vegetables, sugar and its byproducts, dairy, milk and milk products, processed food, meat and poultry, farm machinery, biotechnology, seed production, agricultural services and other related areas. The Government may also provide fast regulatory clearances to the project proposals received during the AgriExpo 2009.

There shall be investors meets on the opening day of the event to be participated by top industry executive, bankers, heads of developmental institutions, potential investor and senior Government officials. The topic shall be:
